I live in Castle Rock and have been in the Denver area for 19 years, and this is my second season as part of Ars Nova. My career is music – I am a choir, orchestra, and dance teacher.
I attended college at Brigham Young University. At age 18 I joined the Mormon Youth Symphony and Chorus. In college I sand under Mack Wilberg, Rosalind Hall, and Ronald Stahell in the BYU choirs, including the touring choir, BYU Singers. We recorded Eric Whitacre’s first a cappella choral CD in 2002 and toured Hawaii as part of Whitacre’s ACDA demonstration choir. After moving to Colorado and raising four childrem I sang with Kantorei and St. Martin’s Chamber Choir. I’ve also sung with the Colorado Symphony Chorus, and I currently sing with Opera Colorado and Gaudium Verum in addition to Ars Nova. I direct and run the Castle Rock Children’s Choir, which I founded in 2019.
