What’s Your Vocal “14er”? The Durufle Requiem was an utter revelation when I first sang it just a few years ago. Not only had I never sung it, I had never HEARD it. A piece doesn’t have to be monumental or a pillar of musical history to count as a “14er.” The Durufle Requiem isn’t terribly difficult, or challenging to either chorus or audience. It’s simply … perfect.
