Hometown: Brownsville, TX. I’ve been in Boulder since late July, 2022. Currently, I am working on a DMA in Choral Conducting and Literature at CU Boulder. I have a Master of Music degree and a Bachelors in Sound Recording Technology from Texas State University – San Marcos.
I sang in choir and played in bands in high school and college. Prior to moving to Colorado, I taught choir at Shoemaker High School and then Benold Middle School in Texas. From 2011 – 2022, I was a contract musician at St. Louis Catholic Church in Austin, where I sang tenor and conducted multiple ensembles throughout my time there. I have had the pleasure of singing with friends and colleagues in Ars Longa, Austin Cantorum, and now in Ars Nova Singers. My bachelor’s degree is in Sound Recording Technology, and I still enjoy recording music when I can.
Favorite Ars Nova piece: So far, my favorite to sing has been Christ the Appletree by Stanford Scriven.

Favorite craft beer, wine or distilled beverage: Currently very fond of bourbon and tequila (separately).
What have you been doing to keep busy during Covid? Practicing, exercising, and spending time with my wife and our pets.
Favorite hobbies: I like movies, being out in the sun, and spending time with friends.
