Artistic Director Thomas Morgan Goes Full-Time
Posted February 11, 2021
We are excited to share that Ars Nova Singers’ Artistic Director and Founder, Thomas Edward Morgan, has agreed to take on a full-time role with the organization, effective July 1, 2021! We are thrilled that Tom will be able to devote all of his creative and artistic energy to continuing to build Ars Nova Singers and bring you more of the music you love. Part of that process will include more concerts, more collaborations, and more outreach into diverse communities.
A brief message from Tom:
“Sometime soon, our society will be climbing out of this global pandemic, and many organizations will be working to rebuild themselves and to move in new directions, with new energy and vitality. This is true for both of the organizations I presently serve, the Music Program at St. John’s Episcopal Church and Ars Nova Singers.
I’ve recognized that it will be very difficult for me to give adequate support to both organizations in the near future. Generous and forward-thinking benefactors have allowed the Ars Nova Board of Directors to accelerate moving my position of Artistic Director to full-time status, our goal since we began to establish a continuing endowment about 3 years ago.
I’m looking forward to devoting my time, energy, and creativity exclusively to Ars Nova in the remainder of my career. It is a seize the day moment, for sure, and incredibly exciting. We have some big plans ahead!”
