RubyGLOW: Colorado New Music Festival
This is a rare opportunity to hear three of Colorado’s finest choirs sharing the stage and some of their favorite new music! Ars Nova hosts the first Colorado New Music Festival, with the combined artistry of Ars Nova Singers, Kantorei, and St. Martin’s Chamber Choir. Each acclaimed ensemble will present a solo set before joining forces in the World Premiere of Terry Schlenker’s new work The Bird of Vision (based on a poem by 13th-century Sufi mystic, Rumi), commissioned for this one-night-only concert.
Founded in 1997, Kantorei is a Denver-based choral ensemble dedicated to artistic excellence, innovation, and inclusivity. Through compelling performances, educational outreach, and the commissioning of new music, Kantorei brings the transformative power of choral art to audiences across Colorado and beyond. Founded in 1994 as Colorado’s only year-round, fully professional choir, St. Martin’s Chamber Choir has delighted Colorado audiences for more than 30 years with its exhilarating sound, its exquisite blend, and its fascinating repertoire, drawn from 1,000 years of choral music. St. Martin’s performs in five counties across the Denver metro area including Adams, Arapahoe, Denver, Douglas, and Jefferson. Learn more at stmartinschamberchoir.org
