Throughout more than 40 years as a faculty member at CU, Elissa taught literature in both the English Department and the Honors Program, co-founded and co-directed the University Writing Program, and led writing workshops in the Faculty Teaching Excellence Program, as well as the College of Music. Since retiring, she has continued to pursue her interest in the relationship between words and music. A devoted pianist who wishes she could sing in tune, she’s pleased to support those who can by serving on the board of Ars Nova Singers.
