College: I went to University of Colorado at Boulder, and received a degree in vocal performance and a minor in business.
What is your current career? Customer Service Associate at Powder7 (ski shop in Golden!)
Tell us about your musical background: I started singing in a youth chorus when I was in the second grade. From there my love for music took off. I was a part of every choir group within school, and I also participated in all of the musicals in high school. I then moved on to working with Matthew Chellis and Julie Simson at the University of Colorado in Boulder.
Favorite Ars Nova piece: Ascent: A Boulder Soundwalk
Favorite Musical Memory of All Time: Playing the part of Nicely Nicely Johnson (Guys and Dolls) at CU Boulder, especially performing the song “Sit Down You’re Rocking the Boat.”
Favorite Food: Carbonara
Favorite Craft Beer: Golden Haze by New Terrain Brewing
How did you keep yourself occupied during Covid? During the first big quarantine, I worked on a 13,000 acre organic and biodynamic farm in Montana. However lately, I have been doing a lot of skiing and singing. They are two things that bring a lot of peace of mind to me.
Favorite hobby: Other than music, skiing!
Random fun fact about me: When I was 13 my mom and I snuck into a sound check for Neil Young, and got to see him perform most of his hits. One of the best memories with my mom ever.
