High School Apprenticeship Program

Ars Nova Singers welcomes a limited number of high school students to sing in the ensemble for projects throughout our concert season. This invaluable program affords students an opportunity to participate in a professional-level ensemble, to be challenged musically and to develop vocally in a supportive, inclusive environment, alongside Ars Nova’s professional musicians.

Expectations for participation and performance are tailored to the student’s abilities and availability, allowing this to be a productive, life-enhancing experience.  Our goal is to help nurture young singers and provide them with an invaluable musical and social experience, and to help them become confident leaders in future musical ensembles and endeavors.

Positions are limited to a maximum of two students per section and are filled on a rotating basis as openings arise. Students complete an audition with Ars Nova’s artistic staff, and are assigned a mentor who will guide them in musical, vocal, and participation issues.
