Baritone · He/Him
Jeff Dixon, MA, MM, LPCC, is a psychotherapist, music director, educator, and performer whose work explores the intersections of music, psychology, spirituality, and creative transformation. He holds a Master of Music in Choral Conducting from the University of Colorado Boulder and a Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Regis University. His musical career has included work with Opera Colorado, Opera Fort Collins, St. John’s Cathedral Choir, Ars Nova Singers, the Hans Sachs Chor in Nürnberg, Opera Classica Europa in Germany, Breckenridge Backstage Theater, and the Aspen Music Festival and School.
Jeff’s clinical and scholarly interests include Jungian studies, dream analysis, expressive arts therapies, and the study of opera and choral repertoire through the interaction of poetic text, musical structure, and themes of psychological transformation and integration. In clinical practice, he works with concerns including anxiety, grief, substance use, men’s issues, creative blocks, as well as existential and spiritual crises. His broader work explores how music, image, symbol, ritual, and narrative can support psychological integration, renewed creative agency, and the development of a more meaningful and deeply engaged life.
Jeff lives in Erie with his wife and son, and he loves to spend his free time hiking, skiing, cooking, working on cars (often successfully) and squeezing in as much life music and theater as he can
