Brian du Fresne

Baritone / Bass · He/Him
32 years with Ars Nova Singers
Brian (M.M., M.M.Ed., AAGO, LMT) seems constitutionally incapable of limiting himself to just one musical occupation. Apparently, however, he knows a good choir when he finds one.
In addition to singing with Ars Nova, he serves as Director of Music and Worship Arts and Principal Organist at Mountain View United Methodist Church in Boulder, and as Dean of the Denver Rocky Mountain Chapter of the American Guild of Organists. Occasionally he performs with the Longmont Symphony Orchestra and has a particular fondness for keyboard instruments of all kinds, including his 1952 Steinway grand and 1920 Estey Philharmonic reed organ.
When he’s not making music, Brian works as a licensed massage therapist specializing in sports massage and neuromuscular techniques. He and his husband, Fred, a professional violist and violinist, love loading their black greyhound, Bullet, into the Jeep and heading off on road trips, preferably with no shortage of interesting places to explore.
