Shared Visions 2024 – Gallery

Welcome to Shared Visions, an interdisciplinary collaborative project featuring works by Colorado visual artists, poets, composers, and performers, coordinated and presented by Ars Nova Singers. This project brings together Colorado artists in a unique way, building a community of artistic inspiration and culminating in a performance of new music by Ars Nova Singers.

STEP ONE – Eight Colorado visual artists have been invited to submit up to three works for inclusion in this online gallery on the Ars Nova website.
STEP TWO – Colorado writers and poets accessed the visual art works, and select one (or more) as a basis for writing new poetry (June-August, 2023). New poetry was submitted by early September (the deadline has now passed). Works have been gathered into an anthology.
STEP THREE – Three Colorado composers have been commissioned to use the anthology (and the related visual work) as the basis for composing a new work for chorus.
STEP FOUR – The art sings! Ars Nova Singers works with the composers, rehearses and prepares the new works for performance in June 2024.
