RENDEZVOUS Outreach Series

Ars Nova Singers is committed to sharing our mission and our music as widely and generously as possible. We are excited to introduce our RENDEZVOUS Outreach Series, in which we bring our music into the community in a variety of ways.

On September 22, Ars Nova Singers will perform at the Boulder Museum of Contemporary Art as part of the Boulder Rotary’s “Boulder Builds Peace” Week – Sept 15 -26 – during which the Rotary Club will host multiple days of activities around the International Day of Peace (9/21).

Boulder has many nonprofits, educational facilities, and businesses that make a contribution to building peace. Rotary International considers peace a core part of its mission. Boulder Rotary and all of its committees have worked on various projects contributing to peace. The Boulder Peacebuilding committee is bringing all this together into a Peace Faire, a festive, celebratory, community event to promote awareness of the International Day of Peace.

The Peace Faire will take place along the Infinite Walk of Peace, which was constructed as part of Boulder Rotary’s 100 Centennial Project.

Ars Nova Singers will participate in the Peace Faire following the performance at BMoCA. We are honored to be part of this inaugural Peacebuilding project!

On September 27 and 28, Ars Nova will head to the mountains for a return to The Tank Center for Sonic Arts in Rangely, CO, followed by a performance at Aspen Community Church sponsored by the Aspen Historical Society. A highlight of this concert will be a work with an historic Aspen connection: Ars Nova will perform one work from the 1891 organ dedication concert in Aspen Community Church, complete with a fascinating backstory that stretches from Great Britain to Colorado. We are also thrilled to be presenting a choral workshop based on our EDEN-Colorado educational project to elementary and middle school students in Rangely.

In October we’ll be singing for the residents at The Academy in Boulder, and in December we’ll bring some musical holiday cheer to Frasier Meadows, where residents will be encouraged to invite their families – especially grandkids – to a fun-filled family concert (last year Rudolph was a special guest!)

We continue to “rendezvous” with communities near and far to delight, inspire, and enlighten audiences with choral music of the highest artistic quality. Check us out!
