Hometown: Cleveland, OH. I’ve been in the Boulder area for three years. I have a BA in Music from Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland. I became hooked on music during my first voice lessons at the age of 9. Throughout high school and college, I applied my training to various choirs, most notably with the Cleveland Orchestra Chorus. When not singing, I dabble in composition and have been self-teaching music production.
Favorite Ars Nova piece: Calling by Paul Fowler.
Favorite musical memory of all time: Performing music from popular films with the Cleveland Orchestra chorus, my favorite of which was John Williams’ “Duel of the Fates.”
Favorite food: Thai food, especially curries!
Favorite craft beer, wine, or distilled beverage: Ice wine
How did you keep busy during Covid? I spent the Covid quarantine learning to record, mix and master my own vocals! I’ve particularly enjoyed layering my voice on these recordings to bring new life to old favorite songs.
Favorite hobby: Observing wildlife of all kinds, especially birds.
Random fun fact: I’m a certified scuba diver! I completed my Advanced Open Water certification in 2021. I particularly enjoy diving at twilight or at nighttime.
